For decades we’ve sought to mediate our experiences though digital technologies. Virtual reality allows us to fully immerse ourselves into a digitally constructed world offering endless possibilities to experiences that we desire. We’ve certainly come a long way from the days of the View Master and Nintendo Virtual Boy. As we continue to perfect this "embodied digital presence", the distinction between the real and virtual experience will eventually become practically indistinguishable.
In recent years, mobile VR has seen greats leap in its application as smartphones continue to become increasingly powerful with their processing and graphical capabilities as well as high resolution displays. Mobile VR will likely merge into hybrid form factors in the future but for now, it offers the exciting opportunity to utilize your latest smartphone to experience VR relatively easily.
I wanted to create an immersive virtual gaming experience. This was my first time creating a Virtual Reality application and I also wanted to familiarize myself with Google's Cardboard SDK in Unity 3D.

I had to learn how to handle user input, player movement and mobile VR optimization techniques for animations and textures.
Eilodros-Beta allows players to teleport from the moon to a distant Earth like like planet. Players are then able to walk around and interact with environment. As this Game was demoed at a Founders meetup, playtime was limited as the the players air supply indicated on the HUD, would run out after a period of time.
